Moretz - A big wonderfully tart (Granny Smith tart) that is the very best for making thick apple butter. In 20 minutes time you can have knife slicing butter. Not very pretty, but oh my at the butter. Discovered in New England in the early 1800s. DW- Mild, crisp bite, not mealy at all. Lightly tart, easy to eat. Like a super mild Granny Smith. Probably good for salads if I ate those.
CW - Clean watery crunch. Good in a salad.
